Will you help rescue his friends?

Meet Charlie

Hi, I’m Charlie.

This dog rescue organization is named after me.

My sister and I were in cages, sleeping on a cold concrete floor and getting lousy food.  It was crowded and they had to make room because more dogs were coming.

If we hadn’t been rescued, things would not have ended well for us.

Some of my friends are in the same terrible situation and they need help.

Will you help me save my friends?

Let’s make sure they get a new life in a warm and loving home.

Save a life.  Adopt one of my friends.

Lets go!

Can you please hurry?

My friends are waiting!

Is it OK if I drive?

Meet Charlie's Friends

Puppies Arriving in April

W have lots of puppies arriving in April.  Scroll down and check them out!

Rescue Charlie’s Friends began in March, 2018 and in our first year over 150 dogs were rescued from deplorable conditions and adopted into their new families.  They are happy dogs now!  We are doing it again in 2019!

None of this would be possible without our wonderful volunteers and sponsors. The happy faces on kids, adults and wiggly, tail wagging dogs makes all the effort worthwhile. With your continued support, we plan to make 2019 an even better year!

All dogs and puppies adopted through Rescue Charlie’s Friends are up to date on all their vaccinations, have been spayed or neutered and have a microchip so that if they are ever lost, they can be returned to their family.

It's the All Girl "Hero Group"

These three Black Labrador mixes are three and a half months old.  They are all females.

Montana

Adopt me.  I am the BIG SKY state and I’m really beautiful.

Georgia

Guys can’t be “beautiful”.  Girls can be beautiful.  I don’t want to brag, but lots of guys say I’m beautiful.

Cute enough?

Idaho

So I’m not the biggest or the smallest but I’m good looking and I just want to be part of your family.  Adopt me and I promise to love you forever and ever.

The Greek Island Pups

These good looking Aussie / Collie mix puppies are seven weeks old in the pictures.  They will be in Maine and ready to adopt in April.  Two boys and two girls.

I’m Syros and I’m a girl.  I’m hoping that you will adopt me.  How would you like to adopt me and my sister too?

My name is Santorino and I’m a male. I was named after one of the Greek Islands.  I think that makes me special.  I’m hoping you will adopt me.

I’m really happy for my siblings that they have been adopted.  Now it’s my turn.  Will you adopt me?

Hi, I’m Milos.  I am a male and I have a brother and two sisters.  I hope you will adopt me or one of my sisters.  My brother needs a new family too, but I worry more about my sisters.

I worry about my sister Chewy.  Will you adopt her?  I want her to be happy.  I want to be happy too – will you adopt me?

What people are saying

I adopted a puppy from Rescue Charlie’s Friends on June 2, 2018 named August. My thirteen year old dog had passed away the month before.

I renamed him. Bud Lite. Bud because he is my Buddy and Lite because he is the Lite of my life.

I am some what of a hermit, but Buddy gets me out walking everyday. We have met many wonderful people and other dogs on our walks.

He means everything to me.

PLEASE keep up the good work you are doing both for the dogs and the families that are fortunate enough to adopt them.

From Foster to Adopter

I have always been a dog person.
For as long as I can remember I have had a special bond with these four legged loves.
When my karma died I thought that my heart would rip in two. To me, and many other pet owners, a dog is very much a part of your family, another child. There is nothing like the love that a dog has for their humans.
For many years I have wanted another dog, but as we all know it’s a lot of work and I’ve got enough going on in my life, Ha!

Fostering has been wonderful, it helps teach my kids responsibility, it shows them the importance of volunteer work and helping other beings, we get to have puppies around, and we got to save all of these beautiful dogs who otherwise wouldn’t have it so great.

I would highly recommend it for anyone out there who is a dog lover. It’s hard, yes, because you do fall in love, but it also gives life so much meaning, and it’s such an amazing feeling to see these dogs go to a new special home after coming from not so great circumstances.

This dog right here came into our life by chance. We are going away and the rescue just needed help with her for the weekend so they asked us. From the moment she got into our car, something was different. There was an immediate bond with my oldest and when we took her home it quickly extended to everyone. It just felt like she was coming home. We were absolutely not thinking about getting another dog right now, but just like Hazel, we absolutely could not let her go. She just fit. Even Hazel is realizing that she has a new body. This poor sweet dog had a rough beginning, but we’re here to make sure that the rest of her life is a grand one! I am so thankful that this sweet soul chose us. ❤️
