Will you help rescue his friends?
Hi, I’m Charlie.
This dog rescue organization is named after me.
My sister and I were in cages, sleeping on a cold concrete floor and getting lousy food. It was crowded and they had to make room because more dogs were coming.
If we hadn’t been rescued, things would not have ended well for us.
Some of my friends are in the same terrible situation and they need help.
Will you help me save my friends?
Let’s make sure they get a new life in a warm and loving home.
Save a life. Adopt one of my friends.
Lets go!
Can you please hurry?
My friends are waiting!
Is it OK if I drive?

Charlie’s Dream – His own building
Charlie was an inspiration for all of us, humans and dogs. He saved hundreds of dogs and maybe some humans too in his years working with Rescue Charlie’s Friends. He saw all the dogs passing through and we think he knew he was doing something wonderful.
Charlie died on May 1st, 2020. We miss him terribly.
Rescue Charlie’s Friends will live on in his memory and continue to rescue dogs. Charlie’s dream was to have his own building where he could receive the transports indoors out of the weather. His dream has come true thanks to some very generous donations.
Scroll down to see the available dogs and puppies! Most are here now just waiting for you!
The Next Transport arrives on Saturday October 5th.

This beautiful sweet girl is happy.
She is a three year old small Labrador mix.
She’s only about forty-five pounds.
Happy is coming to Maine this month and she wants you to know that she is still available for adoption!
Her Texas foster says that she likes other dogs but also really enjoys snuggles and one-on-one time with her foster mom.
Happy loves toys, particularly chew and puzzle toys.
She loves to go for walks and snuggles and knows basic commands.
Her foster describes her as “a sparkle of joy”.
Would you like to adopt this sweet beautiful girl Happy?
These pretty pups are Labrador Mixes.
They are fourteen weeks old, and very, very Cute!
The lab mix crew is here looking for their families.
These gorgeous pups are very typical labs type puppies- we don’t know what they could be mixed with.
They are very playful and very outgoing.
They love everyone and desperately want their own families to give them lots of attention.
Would you like to adopt one?
These guys are wondering what their siblings have that got them adopted that they don’t have. Aren’t they equally adorable?
We just couldn’t say no and have them be euthanized in the shelter.
These amazing cute lab puppies are playful and happy puppies.
Can you help us find our forever families?!
This sweet girl is Aurora. She is a Five month old Black Shepherd mix.
Am I not THE MOST BEAUTIFUL girl ever!
Cupid is the most wonderful seven month old Malinois Shepherd mix!
He weighs approx. Sixty pounds.
This older puppy is seeking a Malinois knowledgeable home to give him the very best life.
This pup is so outgoing with people.
Cupid loves to make new friends.
He also Loves children (but is big enough to knock over tiny ones with his love, so he would do better with kids twelve years and up)
He is curious about cats, but after meeting them he ignores them.
Cupid loves a good game of fetch but also equally loves a cozy couch to snuggle his people on.
He absolutely needs someone who is home much of the time or can take him along on their adventures.
Cupid does suffer from separation anxiety but we don’t blame him- he hasn’t had much stability in his short life
Will you adopt me please?
I would love to have my own family that will love me!
Everyone at Rescue Charlie’s Friends, we can’t thank you enough for all that you do with your amazing rescue! Our new addition Clara (aka Azure) is loving her new life here in Lincolnville and her new friend Trigger is in love.
Thank you again for all of your hard work!
I adopted a puppy from Rescue Charlie’s Friends on June 2, 2018 named August. My thirteen year old dog had passed away the month before.
I renamed him. Bud Lite. Bud because he is my Buddy and Lite because he is the Lite of my life.
I am some what of a hermit, but Buddy gets me out walking everyday. We have met many wonderful people and other dogs on our walks.
He means everything to me.
PLEASE keep up the good work you are doing both for the dogs and the families that are fortunate enough to adopt them.
