Will you help rescue his friends?
Hi, I’m Charlie.
This dog rescue organization is named after me.
My sister and I were in cages, sleeping on a cold concrete floor and getting lousy food. It was crowded and they had to make room because more dogs were coming.
If we hadn’t been rescued, things would not have ended well for us.
Some of my friends are in the same terrible situation and they need help.
Will you help me save my friends?
Let’s make sure they get a new life in a warm and loving home.
Save a life. Adopt one of my friends.
Lets go!
Can you please hurry?
My friends are waiting!
Is it OK if I drive?

Charlie’s Dream – His own building
Charlie was an inspiration for all of us, humans and dogs. He saved hundreds of dogs and maybe some humans too in his years working with Rescue Charlie’s Friends. He saw all the dogs passing through and we think he knew he was doing something wonderful.
Charlie died on May 1st, 2020. We miss him terribly.
Rescue Charlie’s Friends will live on in his memory and continue to rescue dogs. Charlie’s dream was to have his own building where he could receive the transports indoors out of the weather. His dream has come true thanks to some very generous donations.
Scroll down to see the available dogs and puppies! Most are here now just waiting for you!
The Next Transport arrives on Saturday January 11th.

Like so many of the dogs we rescue, these four siblings had a very sad and rough start as well.
They were dumped on an abandoned property in a rural area.
Even though they have never lived in a house with a loving family, They are the sweetest pups.
They love to give kisses and cuddle up with you.
We’re not entirely sure what breeds make these sweeties who they are but it’s beautiful!
They will be coming to Maine soon.
Let’s show them that Life is good here in Maine.
They are all looking for their loving Families.
Doc is an amazing one year old Australian Cattle dog.
He weighs around thirty-five pounds now.
Can you help him find them?

Just like most dogs I love a good snuggling too.
I love learning new things and go on adventures.
I am very excited to go on the trip up North and meet my new family.
Will that be you?
This Gorgeous Labrador mix is Obsidian.
She’s four and a half months old and weighs approx. thirty-five pounds.
Please meet LL Bean and Reny’s

These beautiful Mixed breed puppies were found under a shed and rescued by one of our rescue partners in the south.
Their mom was a stray, she looks like a Lab mix while their dad looks like a Jack Russell mix so we are calling them mixed breed.
We are very excited that they will be coming to Maine in the New Year!
Onyx is a Black Labrador Mix puppy. She weighs approx. 30 pounds.
This little model here is Onyx.
Onyx is dog-friendly and working on potty training. She walks well on leash. Onyx has moderate energy and is playful but is also snuggly and sweet.
Onyx is submissive with other dogs. She loves to cuddle on the couch and is always looking for affection.
Onyx will be coming to Maine this January.
Onyx is a pretty great, awesome and a smart dog!
Would you like to adopt her?
and here is ….. Mia, this beautiful sweet girl is a Border Collie mix and about nine to ten months old.
In rescue…. We here in Maine are the lucky ones.
We get to place these dogs into the very best loving homes.
But the stories we hear about the dogs we take in, will break your heart, and really take away your faith in humanity.
This is Mia.
Luckily we were able to get her out of the shelter just in time.
Mia is with a foster in Texas now and will soon be coming to Maine.
She is a little shy, but incredibly sweet and warms up quickly.
Would you like a new Best Friend?
Look no further.
This is the perfect girl for your family.
Cloud, the most handsome boy ever!
Cloud is a one year old male Great Pyrenees mix.
He weighs around fifty – five pounds.
Snowflake is the sweetest boy ever.
He is a four and a half month old male old Yellow Labrador Retriever mix.
Hey Everyone,
Meet Amber, this beautiful girl is a Labrador Retriever Mix.
She is one year old.
Amber is an amazing one-year-old Retriever mix.
Her fosters have nothing but great things to say about her.
She’s potty trained, dog friendly, people friendly, good with kids although Amber may prefer older kids, as she tends to distance herself from louder noises and commotion.
Amber is not currently living with cats but seems to ignore cats when she meets them on a walk.
She has great manners in the house and would like a family that would give her daily walks and exercise.
Amber is here in Maine and available for meet and greets with an approved adopter.
Amber is a beautiful sweet girl who is looking for her forever loving family.
Everyone at Rescue Charlie’s Friends, we can’t thank you enough for all that you do with your amazing rescue! Our new addition Clara (aka Azure) is loving her new life here in Lincolnville and her new friend Trigger is in love.
Thank you again for all of your hard work!
I adopted a puppy from Rescue Charlie’s Friends on June 2, 2018 named August. My thirteen year old dog had passed away the month before.
I renamed him. Bud Lite. Bud because he is my Buddy and Lite because he is the Lite of my life.
I am some what of a hermit, but Buddy gets me out walking everyday. We have met many wonderful people and other dogs on our walks.
He means everything to me.
PLEASE keep up the good work you are doing both for the dogs and the families that are fortunate enough to adopt them.
