Meet Charlie

Hi, I’m Charlie.

This dog rescue organization is named after me.

My sister and I were in cages, sleeping on a cold concrete floor and getting lousy food.  It was crowded and they had to make room because more dogs were coming.

If we hadn’t been rescued, things would not have ended well for us.

Some of my friends are in the same terrible situation and they need help.

Will you help me save my friends?

Let’s make sure they get a new life in a warm and loving home.

Save a life.  Adopt one of my friends.

Lets go!

Can you please hurry?

My friends are waiting!

Is it OK if I drive?

Charlie’s Dream – His own building
Charlie was an inspiration for all of us, humans and dogs. He saved hundreds of dogs and maybe some humans too in his years working with Rescue Charlie’s Friends. He saw all the dogs passing through and we think he knew he was doing something wonderful.

Charlie died on May 1st, 2020.  We miss him terribly.

Rescue Charlie’s Friends will live on in his memory and continue to rescue dogs. Charlie’s dream was to have his own building where he could receive the transports indoors out of the weather.  His dream has come true thanks to some very generous donations.

Scroll down to see the available dogs and puppies! Most are here now just waiting for you!

The Next Transport arrives on Saturday November 16th.

Pepsi

Pepsi, affectionately called Peppi in his foster home.
He had a rough start to life and is learning how to live in a home.
He’s going to need support and a lot of love to learn that his world is now safe and good.

So even though he has been neglected,
Peppi/pepsi has allowed us to love and cuddle him.
He loves to cuddle on the chair with a human.

he is still very skittish and nervous but trusting humans more and more every day.

Pepsi gets along with other small dogs.
He is now house trained and
likes to ride in the car.
Pepsi has been introduced to children and seemed to feel comfortable.

Because he was raised outdoors, he is still getting use to the different noises and different sounds around the house but he is doing so much better.
Pepsi likes to eat and drink in his crate.

Overall, Pepsi is such a sweet boy!!

This wonderful Boy is starting the search for his family!

Can you help her find them?

Meet Houdini and Blaine,

These two sweeties have had a rough start in life.
They were dumped on the side of the road, and then luckily brought to the local PD by a someone that saw them suffering.
When we heard about this, we got into action and in took them into our care.
Houdini and Blaine are very sweet dogs, they get along with other dogs and love their people.

We don’t know if they like cats yet.
They are both looking for their family here in Maine!
Will that be You?

Hi! I’m Cupid!!

This older puppy is seeking a Malinois knowledgeable home to give him the very best life.

This pup is so outgoing with people.

Cupid loves to make new friends.

He also Loves children (but is big enough to knock over tiny ones with his love, so he would do better with kids twelve years and up)

He is curious about cats, but after meeting them he ignores them.

Cupid loves a good game of fetch but also equally loves a cozy couch to snuggle his people on.

He absolutely needs someone who is home much of the time or can take him along on their adventures.

Cupid does suffer from separation anxiety but we don’t blame him- he hasn’t had much stability in his short life

Will you adopt me please?

I would love  to have my own family that will love me!

What people are saying

Everyone at Rescue Charlie’s Friends, we can’t thank you enough for all that you do with your amazing rescue! Our new addition Clara (aka Azure) is loving her new life here in Lincolnville and her new friend Trigger is in love.

Thank you again for all of your hard work!

I adopted a puppy from Rescue Charlie’s Friends on June 2, 2018 named August. My thirteen year old dog had passed away the month before.

I renamed him. Bud Lite. Bud because he is my Buddy and Lite because he is the Lite of my life.

I am some what of a hermit, but Buddy gets me out walking everyday. We have met many wonderful people and other dogs on our walks.

He means everything to me.

PLEASE keep up the good work you are doing both for the dogs and the families that are fortunate enough to adopt them.
