Will you help rescue his friends?

Meet Charlie

Hi, I’m Charlie.

This dog rescue organization is named after me.

My sister and I were in cages, sleeping on a cold concrete floor and getting lousy food.  It was crowded and they had to make room because more dogs were coming.

If we hadn’t been rescued, things would not have ended well for us.

Some of my friends are in the same terrible situation and they need help.

Will you help me save my friends?

Let’s make sure they get a new life in a warm and loving home.

Save a life.  Adopt one of my friends.

Lets go!

Can you please hurry?

My friends are waiting!

Is it OK if I drive?

Rudolph

My brothers and I were put in the car.  We thought we were going for a ride and we were really happy. We went for a ride alright – then we were dumped off outside a veterinarian’s office.  Just like that.  We didn’t do anything wrong.  We really loved the people, but they didn’t love us.  They just dumped us and drove off.

The Veterinarian took us inside and called Charlie.  Charlie said “Sure, we will take them.  We will bring them to Maine and they will be adopted”

ADOPTED!  When we heard that we were soooo excited we were jumping up and down all over the place.  Imagine – Charlie is going to rescue us!

My brothers and I are great looking dogs.  We are only eleven weeks old and we are all boys.   We love everybody and if you give us a chance,  I think you will love us too.  The only hard part will be deciding which one of us to adopt.  Of course, dare I say it, you could adopt two or even all three of us if you want.  OK, OK, I don’t want to be pushy.  I was just saying…

Look – I’m on the couch and I’m not leaving any hair behind.  Isn’t that good?  Or would you prefer a shaggy dog that leaves its hair in piles all over the place?  It’s up to you.  Shaggy dog, hair all over or me.

I’m Ferry.  I know, I don’t like the name much either but if you will adopt me, we can pick out a new name for me, OK?

Hey, we’re trying to get adopted here and this is the best they can do for pictures of us?  We are MUCH better looking than these pictures show.  There is a lot of competition to get adopted – just look at the other puppies up for adoption.  They get great pictures and we get – these.  I’ll ask them for some better pictures but in the meantime, rest assured we are good looking dogs.  You can take my word for it.  I would never lie to you.

WOW! My brother Fred and I are being adopted together!  We are so happy and feel so lucky!

I’m a girl and my name is Carrie.  I look a little like my mom.

I was “Adoption Pending” for a few weeks and then the night before I was to go to my new family, they called and canceled.  I was heart broken when I heard the news.

I had been bragging about what a great family was adopting me.  When the other puppies heard that I was being left behind, they all felt sorry for me and wished me well.  It was very hard on Saturday to see them go one by one to their new families until it was just me, all alone. I tried to be brave and not let them see me cry.

But today is a new day. I am gorgeous and beautiful  with a soft, sweet personality.  Did I mention that I am gorgeous?  Did I say sweet? Well I am.  Good looking too.  One fine puppy.  Will you adopt me?

I know, I know – the picture says my name is “Snow”.  Well, they changed it. Why?  Because “Snow” sounds like “NO”.  So every time they called my name I thought I did something wrong.  After a while when they called me, I thought “Now what have I done?”  I asked them to please change my name before I got some kind of complex or something.

OK, now that we got that straight, I’m a boy.  I love to play and I broke my leg.

What people are saying

I adopted a puppy from Rescue Charlie’s Friends on June 2, 2018 named August. My thirteen year old dog had passed away the month before.

I renamed him. Bud Lite. Bud because he is my Buddy and Lite because he is the Lite of my life.

I am some what of a hermit, but Buddy gets me out walking everyday. We have met many wonderful people and other dogs on our walks.

He means everything to me.

PLEASE keep up the good work you are doing both for the dogs and the families that are fortunate enough to adopt them.

From Foster to Adopter

I have always been a dog person.
For as long as I can remember I have had a special bond with these four legged loves.
When my karma died I thought that my heart would rip in two. To me, and many other pet owners, a dog is very much a part of your family, another child. There is nothing like the love that a dog has for their humans.
For many years I have wanted another dog, but as we all know it’s a lot of work and I’ve got enough going on in my life, Ha!

Fostering has been wonderful, it helps teach my kids responsibility, it shows them the importance of volunteer work and helping other beings, we get to have puppies around, and we got to save all of these beautiful dogs who otherwise wouldn’t have it so great.

I would highly recommend it for anyone out there who is a dog lover. It’s hard, yes, because you do fall in love, but it also gives life so much meaning, and it’s such an amazing feeling to see these dogs go to a new special home after coming from not so great circumstances.

This dog right here came into our life by chance. We are going away and the rescue just needed help with her for the weekend so they asked us. From the moment she got into our car, something was different. There was an immediate bond with my oldest and when we took her home it quickly extended to everyone. It just felt like she was coming home. We were absolutely not thinking about getting another dog right now, but just like Hazel, we absolutely could not let her go. She just fit. Even Hazel is realizing that she has a new body. This poor sweet dog had a rough beginning, but we’re here to make sure that the rest of her life is a grand one! I am so thankful that this sweet soul chose us. ❤️
