Hi, I’m Charlie.
This dog rescue organization is named after me.
My sister and I were in cages, sleeping on a cold concrete floor and getting lousy food. It was crowded and they had to make room because more dogs were coming.
If we hadn’t been rescued, things would not have ended well for us.
Some of my friends are in the same terrible situation and they need help.

Charlie’s Dream – His own building
Charlie was an inspiration for all of us, humans and dogs. He saved hundreds of dogs and maybe some humans too in his years working with Rescue Charlie’s Friends. He saw all the dogs passing through and we think he knew he was doing something wonderful.
Charlie died on May 1st, 2020. We miss him terribly.
Rescue Charlie’s Friends will live on in his memory and continue to rescue dogs. Charlie’s dream was to have his own building where he could receive the transports indoors out of the weather. His dream has come true thanks to some very generous donations.

Oreo
Oreo is a three year old Terrier Mix and weighs approx. fifty pounds.
Gemma
Gemma is a beautiful Retriever mix.
She is 1 year old and weighs approx. forty – five pounds.
Meet Gemma!
She is an absolute goof of a girl who loves nothing more than to wash your whole face with her kisses and explore.
She is amazing with cats and other dogs no matter their age, and she listens to their correction when given if she oversteps.
Gemma is a very active girl with so much love give.
She will make an amazing addition to any home.
Gemma also loves kiddos, but is an excited jumper, and although she doesn’t mean to – has a tendency to knock ya over with her wiggles.
She is potty trained and sits to wait for her dinner on command.
Gemma is also an amazing car trip companion and the easiest walker.
If she could hike and explore all day she would! Gemma is an absolute rare find and will make her new family laugh non stop.
Benson
Sweetest Benson is a one year old Anatolian mix.
Hey y’all, meet super sweet big boy Benson.
He found himself on the euthanasia list at only a year old due to the shelter needing his kennel space.
This great guy is dog friendly, house and crate trained, good on leash, and LOVES people!
Benson is good with children, playful and fun!
He is really smart and responsive with training.
He also likes to ride in the car and go exploring.
This gentle giant is looking for his forever home.

Lae'zel
This sweet girl is Lae’zel. She is a Four year old Belgian Malenois Shepherd mix.
Hi Everyone, I am Lae’zel
Am I not THE MOST BEAUTIFUL girl ever!
Lae’zel is very loving, gentle, patient and affectionate with her fosters toddler.
Great with other dogs, tolerant of cats and house trained.
She learned to sit and is very well mannered in the home and laid back but in a yard she loves to run around.
Also She’s working on leash manners and is making good progress.
Lae’zel would love to go on adventures with her new family.

Nalani
Meet Nalani, this beautiful girl is a Shepherd mix and weighs approx. forty – five pounds. She is nine Months old.
Here is Nalani!
Nalani – She is always on the go as expected with a puppy and is completely housebroken, making no mistakes in the house.
This sweet beautiful girl loves to chew and has plenty of choices, preferring flavored chew toys.
Nalani also loves tug of war and frequently pushes her rope on you to play.
She will sit on your lap and enjoys attention.
Nalani is extremely intelligent and can’t wait for her new family to teach her more tricks.
She would love an active family.
Jingles
Jingles is a one year old male Retriever mix. Weighing approximately thirty pounds.
Draco
Draco is the most wonderful three year old Shepherd mix!
Hi! I’m Draco!!
I am a very sweet and playful dog if I may say so myself!
I would do great in an active household because I love to go on hikes and adventures.
I’m very friendly towards new people and dogs.
They tell me I am extremely smart and I love to show off how well I can sit, stay, and shake.
Yes I know all kind of tricks!!
I am potty trained and haven’t had a single accident inside my fosters home.
I will immediately go potty as soon as you let me outside.

Sprinkles
Sprinkles is a two and a half year old Pointer mix.
Hi everyone please meet Queen Sprinkles.
This sweet girl is so well behaved. So chill and laid back.
Sprinkles loves to walk and do a few morning and evening zoomies in the yard, and she’s good!
The Flower Family
Hi there! I’m Poppy and this is my family.
I’m a little Beagle lady and these are my babies.
All my pups have different coloring so it is everyone’s guess that daddy must’ve been a really handsome guy!
I am good with my fosters cats. I do get excited if they run from me, I think they want to play, but mostly I ignore them.
I keep my kennel clean, and I walk on a leash really good.
I am ok with other dogs but I’d much rather cuddle with my humans on the couch.
I love to go for walks, just like my puppies do too.
Me and my kids just want to be with our person wherever they are.
I am just an all around good dog.
I will let you know if I don’t think you are paying enough attention to me. I do have a voice!
My puppies are like me, quiet and love to play at times.
They are great with other dogs and love everyone.
I’m not sure who Charlie is…. But I know he and his friends saved my whole family.
The babies are old enough now that we’re about to travel to Maine! Wherever that is.
We can’t wait to meet our new families. I’m still available for adoption too.

Teddy is a four month old Shepard mix. he weighs approx. 35 pounds.
Teddy is as smart as he is beautiful.

Bumble and Bee
Bumble and Bee are sisters and are five months old, they each weigh approx. thirty pounds.
Argo, Braveheart and Annie Hall
Three incredible sweet and gorgeous 12 week old Bulldog mixes.
The shelter life is no life for a puppy.
But Argo, Braveheart and Annie Hall found themselves dumped at the shelter with their mama when they were just tiny tiny babies.
Luckily! A rescue said they would save our Mama…. But that meant that we would be left on our own.
That’s when Charlie’s Friends stepped in and said they would save us, and we could come find families in Maine!
We are the sweetest puppies and love to snuggle!
Arthur & Aardvark
We are brother and sister and will be approx. seven months old.
We are around twenty – eight pounds and are Labrador Retriever mixes.
Hey Yawl, my name is Arthur and I am Aardvark’s brother.
I am so excited because they told me we are going on a big trip to Maine soon.
I am a very smart boy, I know how to sit and know I have to potty outside.
I would love a family that loves me and show me the world can be an exciting and not a scary place.
I love to run, play outside with other dogs, and go for long walks with you.

I adopted a puppy from Rescue Charlie’s Friends on June 2, 2018 named August. My thirteen year old dog had passed away the month before.
I renamed him. Bud Lite. Bud because he is my Buddy and Lite because he is the Lite of my life.
I am some what of a hermit, but Buddy gets me out walking everyday. We have met many wonderful people and other dogs on our walks.
He means everything to me.
